THANKS FOR STOPPING

Inactive in film production and Graphic Design. For anyone not familiar with what a motion picture/tv graphic designer does, I made scenic on set screen used designs mostly through Adobe software.  I work in the Art Department with Art Directors, Production Designers, Draftsmen, Construction Coordinators, Propmasters & sign shop vendors.  At other times with Costume Supervisors, Video Editors, and Producers.  If a story takes place in a high school, I will make their team mascots, banners, school logos.  Maybe a fictional police department will be on scene and I will make the city seal and logo for the skins on the patrol car door.  Or design the shoulder patch for the officer.  Maybe the officer will give someone a speeding ticket, and an original design will need to be created for a small detail such as that, even though the camera may never see it.  Some of the photos in my SCREEN CAPS section will represent a small part of what I do, what gets used onscreen.  Had the opportunity to create posters, vinyls, video screens, faux photoshop photos, cards, routed letters and partitions, or something as unique/silly as a printed rug on a ink lay-up machine for comedic themed designs.  Did most of my work in comedies. Been a while since these were made, some of these designs hold up fine, some don’t. Most seem to fit in the scenes they were intended for well enough. As far as the 2020’s I have no idea what is expected of ADG graphic designers since AI has “breakthrough” updates weekly, and the nature of production has changed.

SEPT 2024

Month #49 of living everywhere part time. Checking out of Colorado Springs after 5 months. Fresh perspectives make this challenging journey worthwhile.

AUG 2023

Have not really used social media, so will update this site if for some reason anyone needs to research who the heck I am. Sold my Vegas condo in Aug 2020, and still on the road. Going to add a timeline here of where I’ve been. The 3 years are more like a work tour than leisure. EBay sales are balancing the checkbook. Might buy a house again. Might not.

 July 2020:

Figured out a way to work at home re-purposing items found at estate auctions or resale shops for the purpose of listing on ebay, and other online sites for profit.  It's already been 7 years of steady work. Growing more profitable each year aside from turbulent 2020. Adjusting well though, quickly discovering other ways to keep sales going at the pace it was previously. There’s always a way. Have even done reselling & shipments while road trip car camping.

Status with design. Don’t do too much with it. Though, think I helped restart the VHS retro collector niche, with making custom retro box art for contemporary films sold at fan shows. The studios then their films with artwork similar to what I re-create. For instance “Stranger Things” distributed their Blu-rays in VHS cases similar to the fan-art I made for that show. So I still dabble in graphic design. “Parks & Rec” somehow still uses my old graphic designs in 2020 and the 2022 action figures, and the season 4 designs seem to sell on ebay by collectors and fans for good money. I guess they had some use for the work.
